Welcome to the official site of the Tyler Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.!
My name is Tonia Rider Bickham and I have the honor and privilege of serving as the Chapter President of the Tyler Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, representing over 100 chapter members! I am committed to lead this Chapter forward as we continue its rich legacy. I was initiated into Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, April 29, 2007 through Tyler Alumnae and have held various leadership roles. I was inspired by Sorors Martha Hunter and Dorothy Pendleton to be a Delta as a young girl and was encouraged to follow in the footsteps of my sister/soror Natalie Rider Johnson. I feel their spirit from the Omega Omega chapter leading and guiding me through this journey.
I am inspired by all we have done already and am excited about our future. Our members strive to provide our communities with programs and services to enhance lives. Tyler Alumnae continues the mission of the Sorority to be a collective strength promoting academic excellence and providing assistance to those in need.
Chartered as Gamma Epsilon Chapter in 1942, the Tyler Alumnae Chapter has been faithfully serving the community for over 80 years. We are committed to embracing the vision of our 22 Founders by developing and providing programs from our Five Point Programmatic Thrust:
Our chapter adapted this as our vision statement for the year: “Keeping the Sisterhood inTACt While Making an Impact!” We encourage you to witness Tyler Alumnae transforming lives and impacting the community. Please feel free to get to know us by exploring our website and social media to learn about upcoming programs and events.

TAC is a continuous supporter of the Greater Central and East Texas chapter of the Susan G. Komen organization. Annually our support ranges from donations, participating in the Tyler/ETX Walk, along with chapter led events that bring awareness to the fight against breast cancer.
You can count on the dedication of the City of Tyler community coming together to support the needs of our community. TAC is always willing to support as well as provide opportunities for those in need.
TAC attended the 2020 Bridge Crossing Jubilee to honor the sacrifices of our civil rights leaders who encouraged blacks to register to vote. This effort galvanized Delta's across the world to encourage blacks to exercise their right to vote, which has led to a historic presidential election with President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris as the next Chief officers of the United States of America.
